We believe at Tallahassee Community Acupuncture that money should not be a barrier to great health care. That is why we offer a sliding scale fee structure for our patients. This means that you have the power to decide how much you pay for your community acupuncture treatments within our sliding scale of $20-$50 per treatment.
Your Community Consultation and first community acupuncture treatment costs a bit more due to the time spent understanding your health concerns and setting a strategy for your treatment plan ($50). Your follow-ups are on the sliding scale of $20-$50 per treatment. Prescription-grade, quality-tested Chinese herbal formulas are often prescribed to assist in your treatment plan, along with nutrition and lifestyle advice for you to consider adding to your tool belt for optimal health.

Community Consultation
$50 for ALL New Patients and returning patients that haven't been seen in over a year. This appointment takes about an hour and includes your first acupuncture treatment. The Community Consultation is designed for straight forward health challenges (i.e. Stress, Low Back Pain, Neck Pain, Headaches, mild to moderate pain, etc.) We go over your health concerns, take your pulse, and look at your tongue, which are comprehensive in nature and understood to be windows into your overall health. You will leave the community consultation with an understanding of treatment strategy, and what to expect going forward.

Follow-Ups
Your strategy for frequency of follow-up treatment is set in the Community Consultation and based solely on your individualized diagnosis. Community Acupuncture fees are based on the Sliding-Scale fee structure ranging from $20-$50 per treatment. You decide what you would like to pay for your treatment, no income verification required. This allows for you to determine your budget and takes the barrier of cost out of the equation in receiving quality health care. Often patients will be able to receive more frequent treatments in a community/group acupuncture clinic, speeding up recovery from illness and imbalance than in a typical "private" acupuncture clinic.

Chinese Herbal Formulas
Chinese herbal lore predates acupuncture with it's origins in teas and spices. Simple recognition of a warming herb such as ginger, or a cooling herb such as mint provides basic knowledge of how a natural substance affects our bodies. Chinese herbal formulas are a combination of herbs, some of which have been used clinically for thousands of years with great success, eliciting an intended response in your body.
At Tallahassee Community Acupuncture, Chinese herbal formulas are used as a stand alone treatment or in coordination with your acupuncture treatments. We use tablet or teapill forms of delivery for the Chinese herbal formulas from reputable brands known for excellent safety, quality and effectiveness. |

Community Consultation
A New Patient appointment with a brief assessment of your health profile straight and to the point (pun intended!) and designed for the not-so-complex health problems (i.e. Stress Management, Low Back Pain, mild to moderate chronic pain, Headaches, etc.). We spend a little extra time to get to the root of your imbalance through discussion, examination, pulse and tongue diagnosis, and observation. Our acupuncturists choose a treatment strategy considering every facet of your current situation. The Community Consultation may be done in our Community Acupuncture room.
$50 for ALL new patients, includes first treatment / 60 minutes
Community Acupuncture (Group):
A relaxed, group acupuncture treatment in a large comfortable space where you can balance your mind, body and spirit while not breaking the bank. We move a little quicker through this type of appointment, not allowing for extensive discussion. This is a great treatment setting for those who are on a maintenance program, managing chronic pain or stress, or just need a good acupuncture treatment when on a budget.
Sliding Scale - $20 to $50 / 45-60 minutes
(The patient decides how much and only pays what they can afford within scale.)
Cupping/Gua Sha/Tui-Na Massage:
$50 / 30 minutes
